Star gazing

Star gazing

Evenings in the Polis region are magical. With the starriest skies you ever did see, thanks to the lack of light pollution, you won’t want to do anything other than sit in the dark and look up. On moonless nights it’s easy to catch a shooting star, especially in August when the Leonid and Perseid meteor showers put on the most spectacular shows. At other times a full moon over the bay will enchant you and makes for the most romantic of evenings, accompanied by the sounds of the night cricket and occasional barn owl.
